In this article, I would introduce you to the brains behind Perxels.

The Team (L-R): Banji, Bukunmi, Rafiu, Fiwa, Daniel and Bethel

Bethel Ofuyatan

Bethel is currently the Program’s lead. She oversees activities when the Team Lead (Abiodun Fiwa) is not available as well as assists her. She presently facilitates the students who are beginners in design. Her reputable design skills earned her the role as the head of the Design team whose roles are to design the website, posters, flyers and the likes.

If you’ve ever wondered who is behind Perxels Instagram and Twitter, you have found her — Bethel creates the social media schedule as well as posts on the pages. She’s behind interactions on the social media pages too.

“I love teaching, I love seeing people learn new things, I love seeing people grow in the field. Facilitating the beginners’ class has helped me grow a lot as a designer — they ask questions and I have to go and research sometimes to answer them effectively. ” — Bethel Ofuyatan

Zakariyah Abd’Rafiu Babatunde

A graduate mentee at Perxels, Rafiu is the Designer at Perxels. He has always been a graphics designer and decided to take a step into UIUX — that is how he found himself in Perxels. He works as a graphics designer and works hand-in-hand with Bethel to create beautiful graphics for Perxels.

“I find everything worth doing because I personally want to grow. Designing in Perxels has been very fulfilling for me.”- Zakariyah Abd’Rafiu

Aside from his role as the Designer, he conducts assessment for new Perxels mentees as well as acts as a Personal Assistant to the Team Lead Fiwa.

Olabanji Ewenla

Banji is the Communications Manager and works directly with Fiwa to manage everything that involves Perxels. Primarily as a Communications Manager, He is involved in everything that has to do with communications within the team as well as outside the team (including the written communication — emails and messages). He is in charge of the official information of Perxels.

Because Banji is skilled at interacting empathetically, he is also the “Human Manager” which means he deals with anything that has to do with relationships with people (Human Relations).

Daniel Sumah

Daniel is the Product Lead/Admin at Perxels. Just as the role of Product Manager varies from company to company, he’s role is somewhat unique.

Basically, He ensures that the Integrity of the Digital Products used and Produced by Perxels are always maintained. From maintaining databases to planning, executing and analyzing Campaigns to helping the team be on the same page when it comes to understanding the Technical Jargon of the tools we use.

Bukunmi Shonde

Also a graduate mentee at Perxels, Bukunmi is the UX Writer at Perxels. She is in charge of writing articles for Perxels which are found on the Medium page and so, any beautiful and inspiring article you read is her handwork (otherwise stated).

She is the copy writer for Perxels’ website and brochure. She is also in charge of editing contents that leave the Perxels table content.

“If I was told in January that I would start writing articles, I’d laugh at the person in disbelief. Perxels hasn’t only been a door to learning UI/UX, it has also been a means of improving other skills… especially the soft skills “ — Bukunmi Shonde
